SOLD 12/25/13: 1964 TV175 Metallic Blue
A Conserved restoration
This scooter was originally Metallic Blue. It had only some surface rust and the previous owner decided to have it stripped and repainted. It is a conserved restoration: it was stripped and repainted, but much of the mechanicals were left untouched. While there is no way of being sure, it appears to be a low miles scooter. Most of the original cable outers are in perfect condition and are still in use. The inner cables were replaced. The original motor mounts appear to be in perfect condition with no signs of fatigue. They were left untouched. The motor itself appears to be untouched and is running very well. The SH1/20 Dellorto carburetor is in great condition with no hammer marks on the back indicating it was probably not removed many times or improperly, and it shows little wear. The splash plate, front fiberglass mudguard, and body parts are also all original and were in great condition also indicating it was not abused and low miles.

This scooter is 95% completed. It still needs a few odds and ends taken care of. Of course, it should be checked out by your local mechanic before riding for safety. Always a good idea.
I would suggest the following:
1) New ignition switch - the key is not working but the switch does function and turn, and the scooter starts and stops
2) Brakes work fine but I would recommend a safety check for wear... I have not done this.
3) The scooter should be fine tuned by a professional scooter mechanic
THIS SCOOTER IS BEING SOLD IN 'AS IS' CONDITION.
